Coal and uranium generate almost 50% of the United States’ electricity, and the majority of globally manufactured goods contain at least one mined mineral element. These numbers make it clear that the mining industry is more vital than ever. As mining carries with it many dangers – from collapses to lone worker incidents – it is imperative that mining industry professionals be trained and protected in their field.
