03/28/2023—Gainesville, FL – VOS Systems, a leading provider of Internet of Things (IoT) enabled solutions that improve safety and asset visibility in complex environments, has been issued a contract with the Defense Innovation Unit’s Tracking Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) project.  This project will provide real-time tracking solutions for AGE assets on U.S. military flight lines as part of the Joint Base Pearl Harbor 5G Initiative. This engagement will see VOS Systems’ CoRe® platform deployed to provide cutting-edge technology to improve efficiency and productivity in tracking and monitoring assets. 

The current process for tracking AGE assets on military flight lines involves manually recording their locations on paper, which occurs an estimated 12-15 times per day. This process is inefficient and time-consuming, particularly since assets are often moved without notice. In response, VOS Systems will be testing out its compact, low maintenance, and highly secure asset trackers that provide location data in real-time through a user-friendly graphical interface. 

All CoRe® devices can be used independently or in tandem to fit the customer’s needs. These devices can be used inside or outside, tracking assets across units, and accommodating the various sizes, shapes, and functions of the various equipment used on military flight lines. The American-made trackers work with private and commercial cellular networks and are capable of precise indoor positioning, when out of range of GPS satellites.
